Running music

I am in some serious need for some new music for my running list. I'm a big fan of anything fast and upbeat. If you have any suggestions, ANY at all, PLEASE feel free to let me know.

I'm not a huge rap music fan but if it's not too horrible, I will give it a listen.

Currently my favorite song is "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. That is a heck of a song to run to let me tell you.

Thanks in advance for any comments and suggestions you may have!!

Here's a few upbeat songs that I enjoy working out to:

Written in the Stars- Tinie Tempah
More- Usher
Stronger- Mandisa
Trippin' It Up- Ashlyne Huff
ET- Katy Perry
Blow- Ke$ha

Those are just a few that I'm enjoying. Yes, it's a wide range, but it helps make the time go by so much faster. :) Hope you get some other good suggestions!

Though most of what I listen to when I run is rap-ish, two songs I turn to when I'm getting towards the end of my run and I need something to push me through are Mr. Blue Sky by ELO and Here It Goes Again by OK Go. Also, check out http://chibistruggles.blogspot.com/2011/03/songs-for-self-esteem-playlist.html It's a compilation of this chicka's readers' lists that have to do with or promote self-esteem (I realize that you aren't looking for self-esteem boosters, but it still has some great fast beat songs that are always good to run to). Hope this helps!

I hate rap, but I love running to Eminem. I also love Report to the Floor by Josh Strickland.

Since you and Suzi mentioned White Zombie earlier today (at this point, technically it was yesterday) I went and downloaded the discography, and I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some WZ on my next playlist. I'm also thinking maybe some Weezer, some Smashing Pumpkins ("Zero", definitely)... basically I'm thinking a list full of nothing but stuff I listened to during middle school and high school. LOL

I'll post whatever I come up with over on my blog. (I've gotta find my CD binder first! LOL)

Have you ever tried some electronica/techno? I find this to be great running music (if you stick with the upbeat songs) because, well, it's upbeat and also repetitive...gets me into a good rhythm. My favorite band is Daft Punk but I also heart some Calvin Harris. (I think that's his name...don't have my iPod with me)

Magic (feat. Rivers Cuomo)-B.o.B
Anything upbeat by Glee
We'll Be Alright- Travie McCoy
Check It Out- Will.i.am & Nicki Minaj

Those are a few I'm enjoying!

I usually run to hip-hop or dance, but lately I've been getting back into rock on my run list.

White Stripes - Blue Orchid
Dropkick Murphys
Flogging Molly
Ramones
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
James - Laid

Hi!
Just stumbled across your blog and really enjoying reading! I run to these mixes by one of the local DJ's in Portsmouth UK, they're all about 45mins/hour long and pretty fast paced. My favourite is the 2010 jam because it's mainly pop music like Ceelo Green, Paramore, Lady Gaga with a bit of drum and bass towards the end. http://www.willchump.info/
