Day of rest

I took it easy and didn't hit the gym this morning. But I'm going to back at it tomorrow. I'm either going to use my treadmill or go to the gym. My legs were feeling really sluggish and sore so I thought it be best to just give them a rest today. It was super nice to rest in though. I haven't done that in awhile.

Yesterday I got a new exercise bra though so I can't wait to try it out. Ha ha. Other then that we didn't really buy much other then what we needed around the house. I controlled myself at Target (my favorite store in the world) and Barnes and Noble. Today I am hoping to get out and go to the used book store. I have some books I would like to trade it. Not sure what else we are going to do. We had planned on going to the drive in this week but we can't decide on the 2 movies we want to see. We might just end up going to see "The Hangover" at the regular movie theater. The only problem is hubby has school Wednesday and Thursday. Boo!!!

I finished watching "The Tudors" last night on Netflix. Now I have season 3 to catch up on which is the current season. Woohoo!! It was super cool to see the Tower of London because I've been there. Ha ha. I am super fascinated by this stuff. I LOVED "The Other Boylen Girl" although I think I like this version much better.

I didn't have a Green Monster yet today. There are tons of receipes out there for them, for those that are interested. But the one that I use is: 2 cups spinach, 1 6oz greek yogurt, 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup orange juice and 1 cup protein powder. But I see people use bananas (which I love but they upset my stomach. Too muchpotassium), peanut butter, kale, etc. I think it's up to you and what you like. I think I might have one for lunch today before we go out.

I'm going to finish up my coffee and then shower and then head out.

Loving it

I'm totally loving the green monster. I didn't have strawberry yogurt today so I used plain and through in some strawberries. It turned it a very um not friendly looking green color but it tasted super good and I enjoyed it. I'm starting to understand how this geen monster thing has totally caught on with everyone. I'm going to pick up some spinach while we are out today because I'm getting low.

I love having had 2 cups of veggies before noon! HA!!

I made it to the gym again this morning. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights. Hoping to do it again tomorrow.

Hubby and I are going to be heading out soon.

Woohoo!!

So today I made a Green Monster and was able to enjoy the whole thing!! Thanks to Prin, who mentioned a different recipe that included orange juice, I didn't have that horrible smell to it. I used 2 cups of spinach, some strawberry yogurt, a scoop of protein powder and a cup of orange juice. YUM! I totally enjoyed every bit of it! I could totally do that everyday and see myself adding different things. Like fruit to it. And it's awesome to know that I have eaten 2 cups of veggies already today!! Ha!!

I made it to the gym this morning and had a nice sweaty workout. I did 60 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights.

Not sure what the hubby and I are going to do today. I do know that he is going to grill tonight which will be nice. Tomorrow I want to go do a little shopping. After I go to the gym again.

Operation Beautiful

So close!!

I'm down 1.6 pounds this week. I am happy and excited about that (it's been awhile since I've seen that number) yet I can taste the 240's they are so close. Ha ha. Next week I know I will be in there and won't be coming back to the 250's EVER AGAIN! I know I've said that before (um a couple times) but I don't want to have to lose this weight again.

I am planning on hitting the gym as much as possible this week since I'm on vacation starting tomorrow. I'm not a Saturday gym girl. I'm not a Saturday workout girl really and I doubt I'll use the treadmill today which is fine by me. I worked out 4 times this week which is my goal right now.

I'm now on season 2 of "The Tudors". I am really enjoying that show.

I am happy to see some blue skies here in Connecticut today. Even if it's just for a little white, the rain has finally given us a little break.

I'm off to do a little housework. Not my favorite thing to do but unfortunately my house does not clean itself.

I'm on vacation! I'm on vacation!

Yup, I'm just a bit excited about it, too.

I was able to leave work at 1:00 today so I was pretty happy about it. I don't go back until Monday July 6th. Woohoo!! No big plans for the week. Hubby and I want to go to the drive in and I want to clean up the apartment. And hit the gym as much as I can.

I didn't go to the gym this morning but I did hit the treadmill when I got home from work.

Tonight I am going to relax and finish up season one of "The Tudors".

Hubby and I got tickets to go see Stone Temple Pilots in July. It will be the 3rd time seeing them and I cannot wait. I am a HUGE fan. HUGE!!

Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. Hopefully it will be good.

Portugal

Over the past 17 years I have been lucky enough to have several friends who have been Portuguese (currently I work with a girl who is Portuguese) and I have always wanted to travel there because I have heard such wonderful things about the country.

Sad

I was sad to hear about Farrah Fawcett. Even sadder to hear about Michael Jackson.

I got goosebumps the first few times that I hear about MJ because I grew up listening to him. I know in his more recent years he was a bit creepy, but I loved "Beat It" when I was a kid.

It's a sad day for sure.

Almost vacation time!!

I hit the gym this morning and I’m so glad that I did. I didn’t want to go when my alarm first went off and I had a hard time getting myself motivated. Even in the shower I was grumbling to myself about being up and not being curled up in bed with my hubby and kitties. But once I got there and started moving, I felt better and by the time I walked out, I was really happy that I got myself to the gym and proud of myself for pulling it off. Ha!

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights.

I survived grocery shopping (again) last night. I just don’t know why I hate it so much. Mostly I think it’s because I don’t understand how inconsiderate people are when they are shopping. I picked up some items to try and have a Green Monster again. We’ll see how it goes this time. I will probably try it again this weekend.

My sister and I made plans to go see “The Proposal” on Saturday night. Looks like a cute movie.

I am going to be able to sneak out early tomorrow from work. I’m not sure what time yet but that makes me super happy. Vacation is going to start earlier then planned!

Work to do. Going to try and finish up as much as I can!!

Sober Me

It’s TOM time and it’s totally knocking me out. I skipped the gym (again) this morning which means I totally need to get my butt there tomorrow AND Friday if I want to see some sort of weight loss this week.

Also I had to take a Benadryl last night because my allergies were super bad and it knocked me right on my butt around 9pm, leaving me extra groggy this morning.

Hey guess what? It’s continuing to rain in Connecticut. But I do believe it’s going to give us a break tomorrow and Saturday.

Is it kind of strange that I’ve been thinking of myself as being “sober” for the past 4 weeks? I haven’t eaten anything horrible and I feel like it’s like a recovery thing for me. I don’t want to eat anything bad either and I’m not worried about vacation at all. My clothes are fitting really awesome these days, too. I know it’s only 4 pounds that I dropped in the past month but I’ve exercised and I haven’t eaten any junk and I just feel better. That makes me super happy and I can kind of see my old athletic self up ahead somewhere waiting for me to get there.

Speaking of vacation I can’t wait! Just 2 more days.

It’s grocery night. Not exactly something I look forward to but I can manage.

5 pounds less

I didn't get to update yesterday. I was super busy and by the time I got home, I was tired and just wanted to relax. So now is the time for my update.

I did hit the treadmill on Saturday so I'm happy about that.

And then I made it to the gym yesterday. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 40 minutes of weights. I would have done more cardio but I didn't have time. We were going to a picnic and I got up later then I wanted.

Speaking of the picnic, there was a lot of food. It wasn't so much a picnic since it's been raining in Connecticut for the past 100 years. They had pizza. Which I didn't eat. And they had cake. Which I also didn't eat. I stayed out of the kitchen when the cake came out. I love me some cake.

I had a doctors appointment today. Just a follow up since she wants to see how I'm doing with my weight and everything. So they weigh me, check my blood pressure, the usual stuff. Then the nurse leaves and my doctor comes in. She opens my chart, reads it, turns to me and smiles and says happily "You're 5 pounds less then you were 4 weeks ago". Yeah me!! I'll see her again in 6 weeks and I hope that I have lost more weight by then.

Hubby and I started watching "The Tudors" on Netflix. So far we are up to episode 5, season 1. Great show. Can't wait to watch more.

Work is busy. I am trying to finish up as much as I can between now and Friday since I am off next week!! Woohoo!!

My sister bought me the new Hungry Girl cookbook "200 under 200". OMG! There is a recipe for shake called Cravin' Cap'n Crunch Shake. I want to try this in the worst way! My sister rocks!!

Gym tomorrow (as long as I am still feeling good. I feel like my body is fighting something and there is a bug going around the office).

A much happier Saturday post

So I'm down 0.8 this which, which you might remember is what I gained last week. I'm pretty happy with that considering TOM is coming and I only worked out 2 days this week (I know, bad). I'm hoping to see a bigger loss next week once I get back into my exercise routine.

To get under 250 would be amazing. I haven't been there since Christmas of 2008 and that was only because I was sick the week before. Ha.

Last night I went to see hubby's band play. Had a good time. Hubby's skinny best friend was there. It's still so surreal to see him like that. He told me his total weight loss is 90 pounds. I know he is proud of himself and yet shy about it at the same time. I know him (it's been 16+ years) and know how he is about things. He's still getting used to his new body and what it's like to be thin for the first time in his entire life (been there). I'm super happy for him though.

I will be there again!! I know it. I've been feeling so awesome about my eating and exercise habits (even if I only worked out twice this week) that I have a feeling I might finally be back on track for good!!

Vacation is just a week away. I can nearly taste the freedom. Work is driving me INSANE! They were painting the new rooms yesterday and we all thought we might just pass out from the fumes.

Guess what? It's still raining here. And really humid.

Hope you all don't mind my posts I'm blogging about to get a little extra cash. Being broke sucks.

Pushed the tag sale idea back until the end of July. I haven't had time to get ready for it and this way 2 of my sisters can attend.

Web hosting

I started my weight loss journey with Weight Watchers and lost a lot of weight in 2001. In 2002 I started a website so that others could watch follow me on my journey and also realize that they, too, could do the same thing I was doing. I found out that the web host that I am using will be closing in the fall and I have to find a new one to host my website at.

I was lucky enough to find this webhosting site that offers a lot of different hosts available by just going to one website. They have forum hosting, blog hosting, email and free domain names just to name some of the things they offer. Plus they also have a list of Green Web Hosting Sites which is super popular these days to help our environment. They also offer reviews to help you out with what you may or may not be looking for.

I have a lot of stuff that needs to be moved over for my website and I want to keep it going, even if I am starting my journey over. I am going to take the time and research everything that available on this site.

As most of you know, my husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in September of 2010. I've been trying to figure out what I want to get him as a gift, as it is a pretty big celebration and I want to get him something really special.

I’m in such a crappy and depressing mood today that I’m thinking I just want to go home and stuff my damn face.

But I am not going to do that. I’ve worked too hard over the past 3 weeks to risk it all for PMS. And rain.

Speaking of rain, I think I’m growing some mold under between my toes from all the rain we’ve been having. It’s supposed to rain until at least Sunday. Awesome.

No gym today but I am planning on going tomorrow.

I fell asleep on the couch last night. The last time I looked at the clock it was around 9:15pm. I guess I was a bit tired.

Not much else is going on to really blog about at the moment. The hubby’s band is playing tomorrow night so I’m excited about that.

Quick update

I had to give myself a little pep talk this morning but I made it to the gym. What was worth more to me? 45 extra meetings of sleep or a good, sweaty workout?

45 minutes on the elliptical and 35 minutes of weights. It felt good to be back since I hadn't been there since last Thursday.

Once I got to work the construction guy was there working on the new rooms and he had set the alarm off. Which caused the cops to show up. Fun times at 8am in the morning.

Work was super busy. I would have updated earlier if I had had a chance.

I just want to relax right and unwind with the hubby.

So glad it's already Wednesday!!

it didn’t help me sleep

I’m kind of in a hazy fog this morning. I took a benadryl last night to try and calm myself down a bit in hopes that I would be able to sleep (I was bouncing off the walls). And right now I’m still not fully awake. I’m on my 3rd cup of coffee and I’m totally regretting the decision to do that last night.

You know why I’m regretting it? Because it didn’t help me sleep. I swear I was up every hour or so just to pee. Needless to say I’m totally exhausted this morning.

And I didn’t make it to the gym. I’m sad about it but I can’t get too angry with myself. It’s not worth it. I’m hoping to get to bed early tonight and hit the gym tomorrow.

I am so sick and tired of the weather we are having in Connecticut. It feels like it has been raining every day. I hate the rain. I know we need it but can’t we at least have a break? Tomorrow it isn’t supposed to rain but then Thursday, Friday and Saturday rain is in the forecast. Today, too. And of course yesterday we had some serious down pours. Awesome. Sometimes I forget this is June and wonder if maybe we’re still in April.

I failed to mention that when the hubby and I went out to breakfast on Sunday they sat us next to the torture chamber. And by the torture chamber I mean the dessert case. You should have seen these cakes and pies they had in this case. Eek. But neither one of had anything. Since we’re both watching what we eat these days (Hubby has blood pressure his eating has changed a bit over the past month). Instead I got these yummy strawberry shortcake desserts from weight watchers. Yum!

Well I’m off. Much to do!! If I don’t’ fall asleep first.

Arizona

Some of you may or may not know my Mom lives in Arizona. She moved there just a little over 7 years ago after she retired.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to move there, as I am not a fan of the cold, the snow, rain or humidity we have here in. Currently right now in Connecticut it's pouring rain and the humidity is killing me. It's a nice balmy 80 degrees in lovely Arizona.

Checking outArizona real estate makes me wish the hubby wouldn't protest too much at the thought of moving away from his family but I would never ask him to do that. Check out this beautiful pool here that I could be sitting next to right now instead of hiding from the downpours inside my apartment.

As much as I would love be away from the Nor' Easter and have to deal with an occasional monsoon, Connecticut is most likely where we will stay for the rest of our lives.

Sleepy time.

After my post yesterday I pretty much passed out cold on the couch for 2 hours. Ha ha. You'd think that I was in better shape then that, right? Yeah, not so much.

My feet are still pretty sore from the walk.

I didn't hit the gym this morning but that's okay. I'm planning on going tomorrow. I was still pretty tired and knew my body needed the sleep.

I missed the season premiere of "True Blood" last night. Since the hubby has band practice tonight so we're planning on watching it tomorrow.

It was back to work today after 3 wonderful days off. The construction on the 2 new rooms in the office is nearly done. They work pretty fast. They need to paint and due a few other things and it will be done. 2 weeks and I'm on vacation. Yeah vacation.

I did my first paid blog below. Yeah paid blog!! We'll see how that goes I guess. Hope you all don't mind.

my future kitchen

Sometime in the (not so) distant future, the hubby and I hope to be able to move out of our apartment and buy our own home. I can't wait to be able to have a kitchen that allows me to cook and entertain people.

I could totally see my whole family sitting around this table for Thanksgiving dinner. Plus I love the whole rustic look. I would love to make the whole house look like this.

I am going to bookmark rustic furniture for the future and keep them in mind when the time comes for house hunting!!

National Kidney Foundation Walk

So as you can see, I gained this week. 0.8 isn't a lot but when you're not expecting to gain, it sucks no matter how much it is. I worked really hard last week. I worked out 5 times and watched all my points and I was really frustrated when I saw that. But with TOM due in a week I know how much body works and I know that I do tend to gain weight around this time. All I can do is keep doing what I've been doing and hope that I see the results in that I deserve in soon.

I sore I felt like I sat around eating all day yesterday. I was in a depression of some sort but I ate within my points. I just ate a lot of small snacks.

My sister and I had a great time at the Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley concert last night. The seats were awesome that we got, considering we got them on Wednesday.

Today was the National Kidney Foundation Walk. The hubby and I actually had a great time. My feet are a bit sore from the walk but it was worth it. They said it equaled a 5K walk but I'm not sure it was that long. I think it might have been closer to just a little over 2 miles. Regardless, it was felt good to be up and doing walking for such a good cause and I'm so proud of myself and my husband for doing it.

After the walk we stopped for breakfast. I had a fantastic egg white omelet with veggies. Yum!!

Today I am planning on resting my sore feet and gearing up for work. This weekend really flew by. I need to pack my gym bag for tomorrow because I am going to lose some weight this week!!

Happy Birthday Baby!!

Today is the hubby's Birthday. I am really not sure what we are actually doing tonight. Maybe going over to his parents house for dinner. But it's his Birthday so we'll do whatever he wants.

I didn't make it to the gym this morning but I did hit the treadmill at home. My knee on my right leg is really bothering me so I just walked it because I didn't want to upset it anymore. I was happy with the calories I burnt off and didn't worry too much about the mileage. Although I did do over 3 miles. I am hoping to make it to the gym tomorrow.

This morning the hubby and I were just sitting around when I started hearing this horrible howling noises. At first I thought it was as hurt animal but as I listened more I realized it was someone crying. It turned out to be our neighbor downstairs. She's about 17 or 18 now and she was just hysterical. I went outside and asked her if she was okay and she assured me she was, that it was just her boyfriend. She sounded like she was just dying. I sure don't miss being a teenager that is for sure.

Hubby's Birthday present came yesterday and he loved it. Of course he knew he was getting it because he told me exactly where to order it. ha ha.

I'm off. Hopefully tomorrow's weigh in isn't going to be bad. I don't deserve a gain but I have a feeling that is what is going to happen.

3 day weekend

I made the hungry girl "Sloppy Janes" tonight and they were super good!! I highly recommended them.

So glad I don't have to go back to work until Monday. I am so burnt out. They are doing a bit of construction on the office and is scheduled to be done by Monday. Should be interesting to check out when I return.

Having severe anxiety right now. Hoping it will by passing by going to take a shower.

My Friday!

I am so glad that today is my Friday. I really wish I was going to be on a longer break from work then 3 days but it should at least help hold me over until then.

I took it a little easy on my knees this morning at the gym. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical but when I did my weights I tried to do ones that wouldn’t put too much strain on them.

After work tonight I am getting a much needed haircut. It’s totally beginning to annoy me the way it’s curling around my ears like a ram horn. Ha.

I will be super glad when the rain stops. It feels like it’s been raining everyday. I know it’s going to be nicer this weekend.

The Kidney walk is on Sunday. I am so looking forward to it. It’s 3.6 miles which is not bad at all and that is going to be my workout for the day. I’m planning on hitting the gym Friday and Saturday.

I am going to have to nap on Saturday before the concert. Ha.

Tomorrow is hubby’s Birthday. I hope his present comes in today. I ordered in on Sunday!!

I’m off. I want to finish up as much as I can before I head off for my 3 day weekend.

Sore Knees

I have no idea why I’m in such a cranky mood. I told my husband the same thing this morning. Maybe it’s the crappy weather we’ve been having. I really don’t know. With the amount of exercise and effort I’ve been putting into being HEALTHY you’d think I would be dancing down the streets.

On a happier note, my sister and I are going to see Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley on Saturday. It was a last minute thing and I’m really looking forward to going. I’ve never seen either one of them before. Fun stuff!! I hope to get home at a decent time since I have to get up early for the walk on Sunday but we’ll see what happens.

My knees are a bit sore today. I’m thinking it’s from the weights at the gym and not the elliptical machine. I’m going to lower the amount of weights when I go tomorrow and see what happens.

I ordered new “every day sneakers” but they are a tad too snug so I am going to return them and get the wider version of them. They are super cute, too. I love pink.

We are going grocery shopping tonight. I absolutely HATE grocery shopping. I don’t have any idea why, but I do.

One more day of work! Woohoo!!

Blah. I don't mean to be such a downer. Sometimes I can't just help it. I know better then to weigh myself in the middle of the week. I just hope by Saturday I won't be up 1.2 pounds. Whatever.

gym routine

Just another lovely rainy, stormy, thundering day in Connecticut. I stepped out of the gym this morning and into pouring rain. I’ve been watching the lightening from my desk at work and it’s not a pretty picture. I am NOT a huge fan of the rain at all. I think that I’d rather deal with snow and I hate the snow.

So as I mentioned I went to the gym this morning. I can’t explain why just a month ago I couldn’t drag myself out of bed to go to the gym yet here I am, a week or so now back into a bit of a gym routine. It’s kind of weird, right?

Anyway, I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 40 minutes of weights. I got there earlier today so I was able to get in a little longer workout.

I’ve really been neglecting my twitter.

I finished off my hummus last night but not before throwing some in my lunch for today! I can’t wait to enjoy it. Yum!

I didn’t watch “Jon and Kate” last night because hubby wanted to watch “Intervention”. Wow. That was quite the show. I’m going watch “Jon and Kate” tonight though. TLC is starting to become my favorite channel. I LOVE watching “Say Yes to the Dress”! Those dresses are so beautiful.

I didn't update earlier because I really didn't feel like I had much to update about. Hmm.

I didn't workout today because I wanted to give myself a break. I went to the gym Friday, worked out at home on Saturday and then hit the gym again on Sunday. So I figured that my body deserved a break. I will be going to the gym tomorrow though.

Have a mentioned how much I love hummus? Mmmmm hummus.

You know it's going to be a lovely day at work when a patient follows you in the office at 8:20am. We don't technically open until 8:30am.

I am trying to get as much work done as possibly because I have 3 weeks until vacation. THREE WHOLE WEEKS! And then I'm only working 4 days this week. Yeah for time off!!

I have blogs to catch up on and some hummus to eat. Yum!!

Happy Sunday.

Had a great workout this morning at the gym. I did 60 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights.

Then I came home and had a yummy lunch with some hummus mixed in. I LOVE me some hummus!!

Not sure what I'm going to do today. I need to get the hubby a Birthday present and I want to get some sneakers.

I really wish I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow. I am glad that I have a 4 day work week. Vacation is not that far away!!

Saturday night

I think you all should go and wish Mrs. B good luck on her 5K that she is running tomorrow! I am really excited for her and can't wait to hear all about it.

Speaking of running, I am watching a fantastic documentary right now called "Spirit of the Marathon" that is really inspiring. I will run again and I will run marathons. I just need to lose a few pounds first to feel more comfortable running in front of people again.

I need to get a new pair of sneakers. Not workout sneakers, just everyday sneakers. I love zappos so I'm looking there and have a few in mind that I want.

I watched "He's Just Not That Into You". What a cute movie.

The Kidney Foundation walk is a week from tomorrow!! I am really looking forward to it. I was looking to see if there were other walks coming up in Connecticut over the next few months but most of them are at least an hour away.

Gym tomorrow.

Weigh in and exercise

I'm down a pound this week. I'm pretty happy about that. I know that I would LOVE to see a bigger number but slow and steady wins the race. And I always lose weight slowly. So I'll just have to continue to do what I've been doing and see what happens next week.

I hit the treadmill this morning for 4.36 miles. I'm planning on a gym workout tomorrow.

Work was so stupid busy yesterday, like I had mentioned. Ugh. It was really frustrating when I couldn't get anything done when the phone wouldn't stop ringing. I do have to admit that the gym workouts do calm me down and put me in a good mood.

Today I plan on doing some cleaning and looking for more things to put together for the tag sale.

I also have to order hubby's Birthday present for next Friday!!

Busy Friday

Another busy day at work. I hate not getting things done. I love having the time fly by yet I get all pissy because I can’t seem to get anything done. Does that even make any sense?

Today was another gym day for me. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights. Today there was a lady who instead of cleaning the weight machines off just threw a towel down where she was sitting. Um no. That’s just as gross.

No drive in tonight for the hubby and me since it’s supposed to rain pretty hard for most of the day and night. Oh well.

This is just a quick update. Work is super busy.

UNwanted attention

Yeah so I tried to like the Green Monster. I really did. But no. It’s not for me. I liked the idea of having 3 cups of veggies before 10am. But the smell alone was enough to only let me drink about 3 quarters of it. Oh boo. I really wanted to like it, too. I did fill me up for quite some time though. And brought a lot of UNwanted attention from my coworkers. Everyone wanted to know what it was and what was in it and what it tasted like.

Holy smokes, was I tired last night. I was sitting in front of my laptop last night watching MTV’s “True Life” (totally love that show) and I could barely stay awake. I went to bed around 9:45pm and was out like a light. Needless to say, I was so tired this morning that I slept in and skipped the gym. I needed a little more sleep. I really wish I had gone to the gym but tomorrow is another day.

I am very excited about trying another hungry girl recipe tonight. I saw it online this morning and I’m going to try it. I need to try new things and this one looks super good. I took the chicken out of the freezer this morning so lets hope it’s defrosted when I get home.

Still waiting to blog and get paid. Ha. *Fingers crossed*

The hubby and I were going to go to the drive in tomorrow night but now it looks like rain so we might not go. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Crazy stalker copy cat coworker is off today. She called me and I refused to answer the phone. So she called my other coworker instead. Turns out she left her cell phone (yes the brand new one she bought yesterday) on her desk last night.

Got my awesome shipment of Bath and Body Work yesterday. Lots of good smelly stuff. I got a lot of stuff for a good price. I love sales.

People at my work are staple crazy. And that is all I have to say about that.

Monster

I am exhausted right now.

I made a Green Monster for tomorrow's after workout meal. I can't wait to try it. The blog world is buzzing about it. I got my recipe from the lovely Angie. It looks kind of not appealing but I hope it tastes much better.

And to answer Jen's question, I went here to get paid to blog. I haven't gotten anything to blog about yet but I am hopeful. The girl I heard about it from made $300 last month.

I'm off to bed.

super super SUPER busy

I was able to get some sleep last night. Which also means I was able to get to the gym this morning. Oh happy day.

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights. It was like a sauna in the gym this morning. Which is both good and bad when you think about it.

I was approved to do some paid blogging. I am pretty excited. As soon as I get some tasks to blog about, I’m there. Extra money is always good.

I’m also really excited about the walk the hubby and I’ll be doing on the 14th. One of my friends has already donated money and I’m totally grateful to her for doing that. A few of my coworkers said that they wanted to give some money and my sister, too.

I watched Conan O’Brien’s first night as host of the “Tonight Show” last night. I enjoyed it. I thought it was funny. Loved Pearl Jam.

Talked to my Mom last night for like 90 minutes. Yeah Mom time.

My coworker got a new cell phone. Guess which phone she got? The same as me, of course.

Grocery shopping tonight. I am TOTALLY getting everything I need to make a green monster and then blogging about it.

Sponser?

The hubby and I just signed up for a kidney walk which is going to be held on June 14th. If you are interested in sponsoring us you can do so by going here. We aren't trying to raise a million dollars, especially the walk is less then 2 weeks away.

I know that a lot of people are tight on money these days but this is a big deal for me. Hubby has a lot of kidney issues and I want to do as much as possible to help him and others that may be in need of a transplant, etc.

I'm going to try and hit up people at work. I told hubby if he signed up, I'd do all the money collecting. Let's see how that goes.

Super busy day

Much to my horror, I did not sleep well last night. I went to bed at 10pm. Woke up at 10:30pm. Up again at 11pm. 11:30pm. And then again at 12:30am. When I got up at 5am I knew there was no way I was making it to the gym today.

*Sigh*

I am sad I couldn’t hit the gym this morning. But there is always tomorrow.

I haven’t heard back about getting paid to blog yet but I have my fingers crossed.

I am looking forward to watching last night’s “Tonight Show” though. I heart Conan. He is super funny and I’m happy Andy is back.

I know I’ll be in bed early tonight. I’m beat today.

Work has been SO busy today I can hardly stand it.

Money

Thanks to the awesome, Holly, I have decided to start doing some paid blogging. I am waiting approval right now, but since we are tight on cash (I'd rather not say broke right now) I'll do what I can to bring in some extra cash. I don't see why I wouldn't be approved but then again, you never know.

So once approved and once I start getting stuff to blog about, I can make a little extra money.

Yeah extra money.

Also if anyone has some great ideas for low calorie yet very filling meals I would to hear them. Or point the way to a website. I've been eating a lot of the same things and I'm getting sick of them.

really dedicated and committed

I gave myself the day off from exercise today since I worked out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Although I’ve been thinking about either hitting the treadmill when I get home tonight or pulling out a DVD. I’m feeling really dedicated and committed to this weight loss thing right now. I am totally hitting the gym tomorrow though if no matter what.

Totally still love my new cell phone. Having a keyboard is awesome. I was texting with my friend in Nebraska earlier. Awesome fun times.

Stayed up a little too late last night but it was worth it. “Breaking Bad’ is an awesome show and I’m going to miss it while it’s on hiatus for the season. However, “True Blood” starts in 2 weeks. Oh and of course, “Jon and Kate” tonight. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I watch too much television.

My coworker told me today she is going to get a tummy tuck in 2 weeks. She is in her mid-forties, healthy, active. She’s been trying to get rid of her “pooch” but nothing seems to work. She’s mentioned it to me several times but I didn’t think she was serious. I’m happy for her though because I knew it really bothers her. I can’t wait to see what she looks like when she comes back.

My vacation is coming! Well, it starts at 5pm on June 26th!! I cannot freaking wait!! That is like 4 weeks away. But I have next Friday (the 12th) off because it’s hubby’s Birthday so that will help. Hubby said he wants to have fun while we’re off that week. I don’t care what we do as long as I’m with him!!

OMG! I totally don’t watch Bull Riding as much as I used to, but I wish I gone to the PBR in Massachusetts this weekend. My guy won! HA! He’s considered an “older” rider since he’s 30 but it was so awesome to see that. Yeah Chris!!

Back to work. I want to get as much done in the next few weeks as I can.
